learning icelandic!
Have spent a couple of hours starting to learn Icelandic, thanks to the fabulous free online course which tönchen pointed out to me at http://icelandic.hi.is/. It's really a lot of fun! I've been using the translator occasionally from http://www.tranexp.com:2000/Translate/result.shtml, but on the whole the course is brilliant!

Wow, 16 thousand km away? Isn't that as far as you can get?! Congrats Tan... and how do I subscribe to this? Love Kath
Wow T,
How exciting and how truly random! I mean how many times in a lifetime do you get to move to Iceland?
well, 20,000kms is as far away as you can get and still be on the planet, so Iceland's pretty bloody close to that!
hehe - not very often my dear fran! I was actually contemplating, about 2 weeks before I got offered the position, feasible ways of getting to Iceland, and being able to afford to spend any time at all there!! :D So - random, but in a "the universe is listening to you" kind of way...
